Basics
The MAPS feature lets you use the built-in mapping functionality on your iPad to generate a map and paste it into your screen image.
You can adjust the size of the map, it's magnification in the MAP BOX and position on screen prior to pasting.

Tap the MAPS button (1) and the MAPS TOOLBAR (2) appears, along with a MAP BOX (6). You can type in an address (3) and tap the GO button (4) and a map is generated in the MAP BOX (6). Or you could tap the FIND ME button (5) to generate a map of your vicinity. The iPad location services must be enabled (pin iPad Settings) to use this feature. Note that the MAP BOX (6) can be resized by dragging the ARROWHEAD HANDLES (7) or moved by dragging the DOT HANDLES (8) See note on "Pan and zoom" the map below, to adjust the magnification of the map and scrolling within the MAP BOX. |

PRESET MAP BOX SIZES AND POSITION Once you have generated a map, re-sized and positioned as required on your screen, remember to PASTE the map to add it to your screen image by tapping the PASTE button (2). To roll up the MAPS TOOLBAR and hide the MAIN TOOLBAR tap (3). While open in the DOCS BOX, you can pan or zoom the document in the box (see note below on panning and zooming). When you have the section of the document you wish to use visible in the DOCS BOX, and the DOCS BOX has been sized and positioned accordingly, remember to PASTE the map to add it to your screen image by tapping the PASTE button (3). To roll up the MAPS TOOLBAR and hide the MAIN TOOLBAR tap (3). |

Pan and zoom

Panning Note that if you have tapped OUTSIDE the MAP BOX (or touched any screen area OUTSIDE the MAP BOX), the map is "frozen" in the MAP BOX and if you drag with your finger, you would be dragging the MAP BOX rather than panning the map in the MAP BOX. If you wish to restore panning, DOUBLE TAP IN the MAP BOX.

Zooming If you find that you are unable to pan or zoom as described here, you may have indadvertedly touched the screen outside the MAP BOX. This would have "frozen" the map. DOUBLE TAP INSIDE the MAP BOX to re-enable panning and zooming. Remember to PASTE the map to add it to your screen image by tapping the PASTE button (2). |
